There’s a massive difference between AP/Honors students and regular students.

I'll be honest, when I was in HS.. We didn't give a frick. We did some horrible shite.
Teenagers will always been teenagers.

The difference is this generation has social media and that only exacerbates the problem by making kids more in-tune with eachother at all times, at school and home.
I get what you’re saying, but this kid is only 5 years out of high school, himself. He’s never known a world without smartphones and social media.
Teaching public school kids in non-honors courses has been a struggle for generations. They don’t want to be there, and many of their parents don’t GAF.

I was thinking the same thing. He's a kid to me

I’m sure once their parents kick them out life will hit them like a ton of bricks and they’ll have to at least somewhat get their shite together.

Kids especially disrespect Mexican teachers, so you are screwed. Dye your hair and cut off that mustache and you'll be ok.

All generations say this about the younger ones.

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers. -George Washington

They are already woke to the fact that all this is for show and that in reality anything they do won't matter, they'll end up dead after working for nothing.
Good for them IMO
