I haz a sad.
I've been feeling under-the-weather these last few days with the yo-yo of temperatures and I was only able to work up to 305 on bench.
I did, however, crush some triceps afterwards.

The gym is a weird place. All people do now is take selfies. Guys are in there for 3 hours to do 3 sets on the bench press. It's like they have nothing else to do.
I rarely train in the afternoons since I do jits most evenings, so I lift at the gym before work in the early AM. Most people in the AM club are in there to get in and get the frick out, except of course for the old folks that go there to sit and lounge on the machines (but that is another story). However, I went to the gym to lift last night and although I saw no selfies being taken, every dude in there was busy texting on their phones the whole time. Hardly any of them ever touched a weight. Weird.

I have my gym app open, logging my lifts, setting my rest period timer between every set and skipping songs when when something un-motivating comes on.

Nah, these dudes are sitting on a bench taking selfies and not lifting a damn weight. It's so weird.

I only take nude selfies in the single occupant shower/bathroom

But you actually lifted a weight maybe every couple of minutes right? Most of these guys just sat around on their phones, maybe did a set every 5 minutes or so. I guess they went to the gym to work out their fingers? And it's the 20 somethings doing this. The teens and the over the hill guys are in there hitting it hard.

People that sing are the absolute worst.
It's fairly quiet at the gym then all of a sudden I hear "BANDS MAKE HER DANCE" and see some dude with earbuds in. God no one wants to hear that shite

The dudes who do 3 sets on the bench press but take 45 minutes are the worst. What's the point?
Posted on 3/24/16 at 5:22 pm to MWP
Every 2-3 minutes: 4-5 warmup sets and 3-5 workout sets.
Today was warmups of 135, 185, 225, 245, and workout sets of 265, 275, 290 and 305.

Is this for flat bench? The only time I rest longer than 2 minutes is bench, but since I quit powerlifting, I hardly ever do barbell bench anymore. Mostly dumbells, although I still like to incline.
It's so nice not to have to spend all that time jacking with a shirt.

Flat. It was a low rep set day today, though. After that, I hit three sets of incline dumbbell pullovers followed by some tricep work.
I competed in the state powerlifting competition a few years ago, but haven't done an event since. I still like to lift heavy though.

My only gym pet peeve is the guy who decides to pour on some type of aerosol body spray before working.
A few weeks ago one of these assholes decided to use the treadmill two away from mine when the entire row was open. I got so nauseous from his smell that I had to stop running and leave.

What is your bodyweight? I still dead and squat pretty heavy. I got up to a 585 dead and 545 squat over the holidays when I ate like a fiend and put on about 15 pounds. Been slowluy cutting for a jits tournment and trying to get under 200 #'s so I have quit lifting so heavy lately.

I competed at 185, but I'm over that weight right now.

I've noticed this as well in the exact demographic breakdown you give. I can't figure it out. Why even bother? They re not lifting in any regimented order. Just a set every so often in between phone shite. Meanwhile the rest of us have a purpose.
