Lead singer of “Why do you fill me up, Buttercup” (Bon Scott) was also the original lead AC/DC singer.

Fill Me Up Buttercup was released by a British Band called The Foundations.

Build Me Up Buttercup" is a song written by Mike d'Abo and Tony Macaulay, and released by The Foundations in 1968 with Colin Young singing lead vocals.
My guy Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott (9 July 1946 – 19 February 1980) had nothing to do with that.
You should be voted off the island.

[The Foundations] recorded the original and most famous version of "Build Me Up Buttercup" in 1968, while [The Valentines] released a lesser-known cover version in 1969.The Foundations (1968 Original)Release: Released in late 1968 by the British soul/pop band [The Foundations].Writers: Written by Tony Macaulay and Mike d'Abo.Vocals: Sung by lead vocalist Colin Young.Status: This is the iconic, globally recognized version featured in movies and radio. The Valentines (1969 Cover)Release: Covered in 1969 by an Australian pop-rock group called [The Valentines].Fun Fact: The group featured Bon Scott as a singer, several years before he joined the heavy metal band AC/DC.Status: This version is a rare, upbeat pop cover mostly known by music historians and AC/DC fans.
That being said, that singer doesn't look like Bon to me.
What say you?

The song is "Build Me Up, Buttercup". The hit was by the Foundations, and Bon Scott was not the lead singer on that one. He did do a cover with the Australian band "The Valentines," though. Their version did not chart.

Before joining AC/DC, Bonn Scott was in a pop band called The Valentines. They did a cover of Build Me Up Buttercup. But other than performing it live as a cover sonic, I don’t know if they ever released it as a single.

Good version, but that proves those young girls would scream at any dude singer back in the day.
That dude is kinda ugly and dances funny.

I’ve always hated that song. And associating Bon Scott with it should be a bannable offense.
