I’ve got two daughters, one 16 and the other 12. Both have “synched up” to their mom and I’m frequently on an island alone. I love all three of them very much, it just sucks sometimes when it seems like it’s them against me. Then other times it’s great and both of my daughters are very attentive and interested in their dad. Just wish they were like that more often. I’m always there for them and have taken care of them their whole lives. Anybody else on here with daughters only experience this type of situation?

Great post. And BTW...never let them near the likes of anyone who'd down vote your post.

2 girls(7,5) and 2 boys (4,2)
I am fortunate to have all my kids at the age where they love being with their dad. No better feeling than all four of those little shits attacking me when I walk thru the door. My oldest is starting to come into her own. It is sad seeing her grow up but awesome to watch.
A daughter should have a different relationship with their dad. All my boys want to do is fight but my girls still love tea parties with Dad.
Paul Simon “Father and Daughter” gets me every time.

Mine is 5 and is just damn like me. She's as beautiful as her momma but a smart, smart arse like me. She crawled up in my lap on the couch this afternoon and laid down to watch Moana while we were waiting on Barry. Twas a great moment. I couldn't tell you a damn thing about princesses 4 years ago but now I'm a princess trivia wizard and proud to admit it.

my 4 yo daughter are playing in the yard.
From birth to first day at school are the salt years
In grade school they learn to scream till they get what they want
Pre teen and they go boy crazy
High school they get hostile, but mom will get that more than dad
College they just want money
If you are lucky they love you again once they hit 30 or so and have kids of their own (plus you are the free babysitter)

Yep. Make sure that she knows that dad can catch, kill, and fix anything. That you're not t scared of anything but you know how to treat her mother. She's watching... It'll hopefully raise her standards high enough to find a real man. To many pussies running around these days...

My oldest of three daughters got married last month. My final instructions to my son in law... "Don't hit her and don't bring her back".
Baby girls at 4 years old are a world apart from those that are 24.
Cheers bro!

Hang in there, Bob. Yes, daughters are a blessing you should always cherish. I've married off all of my daughters. Even now, many years after my youngest daughter got married, like an earlier poster said, whenever I hear the song, "I Loved Her First" my eyes get a little moist.

shite nevermind. Congrats on having a nice moment with your kids.

Always liked the the song “I loved her first” by Heartland. Always a tear jerker.

I have a 14 and 5 yo daughters bookended by 18 and 3 yo boys. My 14 yo daughter has traveled with me for work, painted my nails, made me play babies...she was my shadow, my little BFF up to last year. Then BOOM. Now she’s an independent young lady that has never made less than a 4.0 and excels at any sport she plays and most certainly doesn’t need anyone’s help or assistance.......absolutely kills me, yet makes me proud at the same time.
Hug her tight and enjoy every minute because she’ll be grown before you know it.

I don't have any children myself. Nonetheless, here's Kanye West with a cautionary tale about raising little girls.

Better start saving for that HUGE wedding she thinks will take to make your little "Princess" happy.
Then again, by the time she's dating she'll drag home some guy you would swear was a frog instead of a prince just to piss you off since she's no longer that cute little girl who simply adores her daddy and would never do anything to make him unhappy.
Welcome to the real world pal.
