Around this time every year I am especially thankful for the federal post office. No other country in the world is able to ensure global parcel delivery at prices that are accessible to your average American.

Where else can you put a .66 cent stamp on an envelope and have it delivered anywhere in the world?

Our mailman delivers our mail timely 6 days a week, rain or shine, and with a smile on his face.

Remember the federal limit on gifts to postal workers is $25. We usually get ours an Amazon gift card to show our appreciation.

USPS gets hate but our mail lady is awesome. Reliable and friendly. Have even let her use our bathroom a few times.

I agree. I feel bad that Amazon has forced these people to work long hours during the holidays. Our postal worker got to our house 4:30-5:30 during the past few weeks. This week he’s delivering mail around his normal time of 2.

Costs $1.50 to send to England. Need dedicated Foeved Global Stamps.

Our postal people here suck. One in our neighborhood even went to putting nasty notes in people's mailboxes telling them they order too much shite, and to get their mail more often. I got one blaming me for losing the package box key. I didn't. The neighborhood FB page has always got a my package was delivered to the wrong house etc. Our post office blows.

USPS is probably the only government agency that actually functions well. They invest in the field over the office, and it shows.

I received a Christmas card yesterday that was postmarked December 6th. Only took 23 days to go 5 miles.

Didn't know you could give gifts to postal workers. USPS is woefully inefficient with money, but the service provided is pretty stable. Seems to be pretty stable in Europe and many other nations as well.

As a 28 year career postal worker, I sincerely thank you. I run a small, rural office with 2 routes in Southern middle TN. For whatever reason, there are people who just trash USPS. There are many of us who feel the customer’s pain but don’t always have the ability to instantly solve a problem. But I come to work everyday and do my best to take care of all my customers and do everything in my power to solve any issues that arise. In my almost 3 decades of employment at USPS, I can tell you that Amazon is the most negatively impactful issue we are dealing with and how much it has impacted our ability to deliver our own mail efficiently. When USPS was created, it was never and never should be thought of as a business to make money. It simply was created to provide a public service to the American people. We have no business delivering another company’s packages for them and it has drastically changed our ability to deliver mail on time and efficiently.

USPS is terrible. We sent a priority envelope from BR to Plano, TX. It took 10 days. They only deliver mail about 4 out of 6 days a week, if we're lucky. I send stuff and have no confidence it will get there in the near future. For laughs, try following up on a package when you have a tracking number and it hasn't arrived. Good damn luck.
