why dont they just charge what they think their owed? that would make the process much easier. it's a hair cut. I realize you can get a bad one... but 99% of the time.... It's the exact same

Because Americans spend more on services than any other nation. Getting a haircut or a massage is a service.

I tip my lady $30.

I use the same one over and over.
Her washing my hair is orgasmic.

An old friend cuts my hair and I pretty much text her the day of and she fits me in. It’s $35 but I throw on a $10 tip because we go back and she always squeezes me in. I can’t imagine tipping more than 20% at some chain men’s cuts store

I tip 5-10. I also get some extra services she doesn’t have to give me and she gives a good scalp massage

Where can you find a $12 haircut? I tip the maximum amount that's on the screen which is $4 bucks I think. Makes it $22.

I normally tip around 25% at the place I get a haircut. I would assume it is just like any other place regarding a tip. 15%+.

$15 at Super Cuts. Tip $3. My head is shaved with a 3 guard all over, so it takes them about 10 minutes.

I usually bang my hairstylist after she cuts my hair. My hairstylist happens to be my wife.

I live in St. George and make the short ride into Ascension Parish on Hwy. 73 to a little salon that has haircuts for $12. Good service, good cuts, friendly ladies who work there. I give a $3 tip and am on my way in about 10-15 minutes most times.

Those of you fellas who pay $25 at places like Sports Cuts are getting ripped off.

Meh. I think the standard haircut there is $18. I still hate all of those kind of places.

My barber’s price on his website says $35 for haircut and beard trim (razor cheeks and neck). But I once asked him how much it was and he told me $25. I give him $40, so I’m either tipping him $15 or $5, but I also get “free” whisky while there.

You go to Parish?

I have worn an old fashioned flat top for years and my local barber charges $10.00. I always pay him $20.00 for the cut because 1. he is good at it, 2. it is hard to find a barber these days that can cut a real flat top, 3. He fits me in whenever I call and 4. I feel like $20.00 is more than fair for the cut, neck shave, eyebrow trim, and good conversation.

I get mine done in DC. It's 22 and I tip between 22 and 40 percent. I am talkative and I enjoy a nice shampoo and scalp massage. This one lady even gives me shoulders a deep rub.
