We were talking about this at work tonight. I thought they were full of shite.
Apparently, if your female cat is in heat, you can slightly insert a Q-Tip in/out until the cat climaxes. It will calm her down.

I tried this many, many times but it didn't work. Figured out later it only works on female cats.
