Can you show us where the “church” touched you using this doll?

Something like 1/2 of the population don’t pay any taxes and many get $ back after not paying any. Makes sense I guess. Hmmmmm…

59% of churches are small 0-99 members
35% are medium- small 100-500 members
4% are medium 500-999
2% are large 1000-2000
.5% are mega 2000-10000
.01 are super mega 10,000 +

Avg pastor salary is $60k

I’m fine with taxing churches if you apply the tax equally to Planned Butcherhood, NPR, non profits ( who currently don’t pay taxes) and welfare benefits. Start taxing political contributions, mosques etc… and finally why not tax illegals since those SOBs don’t pay a dime. And while you’re at it make all those f*ckers pay their student loans instead of making me pay it thru my taxes. Until all that is done, leave the churches alone.

Any questions?
Blessing to all, JC

their churches should be treated like any other business.

Watch a lot of charities dry up. Now ask yourself who is better at providing for the poor. The government with a bunch of money or a group of volunteers selflessly servicing to the needy.

Don't let the flash of a few megachurches downplay the service of thousands of churches,.

so following the laws as it is written and using the full advantage the tax code as it is written to pay their taxes?

I fail to see the issue here.

so you think politicians getting away with this is okay too, even though they specifically wrote the laws to allow them to this?

How about tax organized religions in general? Starting with the catholic church, whatever dudes like Duplantis, Osteen, and others are affiliated with? It's amazing that fools believe God is all powerful, knowing, and whatever. Somehow he isn't good with a checkbook. I respect the people of faith in this forum, and wish prosperity, health, and love, to those families. There comes a time a place when it's time to pay the tab.

If they tax churches, they are going to tax all non-profits. I seriously doubt you get one without the other. Mega churches suck, but the Red Cross does as well.

If you are talking about tax exemptions look at all the land and buildings the pretend "not-for-profit" hospitals and clinics have and do not pay property taxes on. For example, St Francis bought North Monroe Hospital just to shut it down. They kept it unoccupied for 15? years and didn't have to pay a penny property tax on it. (they sold it about 2 years ago). They've recently built several clinics throughout Monroe that have are empty and probably have no intention of using. But they don't pay property taxes.

They bought their home four years ago for $850K. That other pastor lives in a high dollar home as well. The one that runs Our Saviors.

How about we just actually cut the govt spending and the need for more taxes instead of creating means to regulate which churches exist

Catch this wild idea-

Cut spending, broaden the tax base by including more of these types and lower mine

I’ll have more to give the church if I so choose to offset their hit

I know the Holy Catholic Church is asset “rich” because of property and art accumulated since Christ founded it, but part of me is glad a priest takes the cow of poverty.

Your average parish priest lives on a stipend of around $1,000 a month.
