Seems like last week i'm sitting at football games and now i'm sitting in carpool and realize that there's basically just award ceremony days and exams and my kids are out of school for the summer. I can't figure out how to slow time down.

The older you get the faster it goes.

It only gets worse. When you get even remotely close to retirement you think you have a few years to plan it all out and then boom, you are done. Seems like a year goes by and now you are about to be 70. It just flies. It seems like I was just buying my oldest kid a car in High School.

Tips:
1. Get on seated row machine at local gym.
1 min feels like 5 min.
2. Tell your wife she looks like she gained weight. 1 min feels like 1 divorce day.

No way to slow it down brother. The secret is learning how to not waste a lot of time doing meaningless bullshite, learn how to recognize the special moments and appreciate them in the moment. I have not always done this but as I get older I am trying do better at it.

We perceive time as moving faster as we get older because our brains have less novel stimuli to process. Time goes slow when we’re young because we’re experiencing a lot of things for the very first time. Prioritize novel experiences as often as possible as you age and things may start to slow down a little.

The secret is
Registering time by being present in your life. That means not living in past or future or so busy that you miss the present. Let the time meter inside you do its thing.
Slow down. Be present. Enjoy your life.
