The days take forever but the years fly right by

It only gets worse. When you get even remotely close to retirement you think you have a few years to plan it all out and then boom, you are done. Seems like a year goes by and now you are about to be 70. It just flies. It seems like I was just buying my oldest kid a car in High School.

1. Get on seated row machine at local gym.
1 min feels like 5 min.

2. Tell your wife she looks like she gained weight. 1 min feels like 1 divorce day.

We perceive time as moving faster as we get older because our brains have less novel stimuli to process. Time goes slow when we’re young because we’re experiencing a lot of things for the very first time. Prioritize novel experiences as often as possible as you age and things may start to slow down a little.
