There is not a drug in my system outside of a minor amount of Mr Bourbon; But as I age, a day seems to go by quicker than a 50 minute class of high school as I remember it. It’s like each year that passes by, the clock ticks a little faster. Im not sad about it, but I notice it more and more.

Such a weird feeling.

Maybe you just forget more things as you age and it makes things seem to be going faster.

That shows you're enjoying yourself.
Keep it up, and don't forget to live in the present time.

I wish I could recapture the speed of time passing I experienced from December 1st to December 25th when I was 8 years old.

It's all relative.

I used to think about this a lot. I’ve decided that time passes by faster as you age because you have lived more days/years than ever before. When you’re 25 a year holds much less significance in your perception of time than when you are say only 4 years old and a year represents 25% of your conscious experiences, making it seem like an eternity

Well work takes up a lot of my time. I dont hate it, buuuuuuut I wish I could click buttons and make money. (Aka I dont love it).

With that said, work has become easier knowing that a day goes by in a flash.

Always had the same feeling… Best and most sensible explanation I ever read was based on the relativity of time.

As you age - each minute, hour and day - becomes a smaller fraction of your total life span to-date. In addition, your ability to compartmentalize information becomes more sophisticated; whereas, you focus on things you need to get done vs a middle schooler focusing on random things that an adult wouldn’t think twice about. Time flies when focused on something but crawls when not.

My theory on this phenomenon is that as you age each moment that passes becomes a smaller percentage of the life you’ve lived so it seems to go by “faster.”

I recently read a book that had this theory in it. Forgot the exact wording but when we are young learning something new everyday and exploring it. Now we’re just mindlessly scrolling through the internet and not learning anything anymore.

When I turned 36 I realized that If I started my life over after I turned 18, I would be graduating high school again. The 2nd 18 years went by so much faster.

I’ve heard this before and agreed with it. But as more time has passed, ive thought about it more. And then more and more. Next thing we all know, we’ll be in our 80s and laughing at the people in their 30s and 40s and 50s that are having those same thoughts.

It’s a level below wondering how we got here in the first place. Time is a crazy thought.

It certainly feels that way. I’m 36 and years seems to fly by now. When I was younger even a month seemed to take forever

When your four years old, a year is 25% of your life. When you're 40 years old, a year is 2 1/2% of your life.

After age 50 days go by slow, and years go by fast.

Next year will be my 20 year HS reunion and that is absolutely unreal to me. Things that happened 4-5 years ago seem like 8-12 months ago, it feels like I went from 30 to 38 in like 3 years. I don't like this shite
