Time for the OT to do grade school math

One of my friends kids brought some homework to the office and had us thinking for a bit. We still think the wording is weird/wrong. But what does the OT say the answer is?

Can't see the whole thing and your kids handwriting is trash. Start there first before higher level arithmetic

Impossible. Would have to be 43, 46, or 49, but none of those three are two above 40 or 45.

I feel like something isnt right.
Between 40-50.
3s and 1 left over means either
42+1=43, 45+1=46, or 48+1=49.
5 and 2 left over means either
40+2=42. 45+2=47.
Unless im missing something. (my kids are 4 and 2. So not doing this shite yet lol) There isnt an answer

The number has to be between 40 and 50
Counting by 5s with 2 left over means it ended in a 2 or a 7
And it has to be one more than a multiple of 3
The multiples of three between 40 and 50 are 42, 45, and 48. Looking at what we have already established, the answer, is 2 69 the teacher

Teachers are getting clever. Create an impossible problem that they nor their parents can solve. Kid's need to ask teacher for help and boom, teacher bangs student

Dude I’m so sick of this. My first grader is having to learn math this way. What happened to the days of just adding and subtracting numbers? These new ways are BS. Not gonna lie that I feel stupid trying to figure out first grade homework every night with her.
