TIL: Soldiers in WWII would create "sweetheart" pistol grips

Soldiers would recover Lucite from downed airplanes and form it into transparent grips for their pistols. They would then add a photo under creating this unique war art.

I can't say I completely agree with you. While that generation should get full credit for fighting WWII, I can say without a doubt, the military post 9/11 to 2010 would have had no problems stomping a mud hole in Hitler's arse.

I was speaking in terms of the entire generation, not just isolating the soldiers.

I was assuming you were including the women. They were as tough as a railroad spike because they needed to be.
