Was the Journalism building intended to be in relation to Tiger Stadium as the temple of Venus and Roma was to the flavian amphitheater?

And the armory/Huey P Long house to be the forum of trajan?

I lived in the last room before the stairwell on the fourth floor of Hatcher my freshman year. See red circle.

There was more space between the dorm, and the stadium because that side of the stadium had no upper deck then. The old, ugly upper was still on the West side, but the East side still looked very Coliseumesque like the North endzone. Can't find a picture with the 10K old upper deck. Here's the configuration from when I was in high school.

Twas exactly like being a gladiator.

Probably not. The Journalism Building was originally part of the downtown campus and moved to the current location later.

School allows itself to become a punchline by building that ridiculous LSU ‘lazy river’, while this once beautiful structure (it was sort of the collegiate extravagance equivalent of its day) crumbles before our eyes. Sad.

Doesn’t look bad for a building so old. Those Romans sure knew how to build

He (somehow) still walks from his apartment on East Boyd to the UREC to go workout/swim everyday.
