This story reeks of sensationalized bullshite. A kid...from Boston...choose to attend a non-descript school...in North Carolina...SOLELY for the purpose of conducting a mass shooting...he planned for 8 months...and never actually showed any real signs of going through with other than purportedly telling his roommate he may if he didn't get into a fraternity? North Carolina is FAR from the most lax state with regard to gun laws. Hell, Vermont and New Hampshire (placers much closer to Boston) have equally as lax, if not more lax, guns laws than NC. So does Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, etc.
This is a liberal media wet dream:
Threat of mass shooting - check
Reference to lax gun laws - check
White male of presumed privilege - check
Fraternities - check
Reference to SC church shooting - check
The only box they didn't check was "strong supporter of Trump."
Their only mistake was showing a picture of the American Revolution "weapon of mass destruction" he "planed" to use.

Yeah that part seems a tad far fetched. It’s a small school in the middle of nowhere, which also costs $50k+ a year for tuition plus room and board.
Random facts: It has some of best dorms and student unions in the country due to some big money donors
