So what’s you’re telling me is despite the fact we live in an era where people have unprecedented levels of sexual education and yet somehow all this education has failed to dent STD levels and they are in fact increasing? That’s just odd.

False.

Antibiotic resistant gonorrhea is becoming a massive issue and is considered a worldwide “urgent threat”.
quote:

Gonorrhea has progressively developed resistance to the antibiotic drugs prescribed to treat it. Following the spread of gonococcal fluoroquinolone resistance, the cephalosporin antibiotics have been the foundation of recommended treatment for gonorrhea. The emergence of cephalosporin-resistant gonorrhea would significantly complicate the ability of providers to treat gonorrhea successfully, since we have few antibiotic options left that are simple, well-studied, well-tolerated and highly effective. It is critical to continuously monitor antibiotic resistance in Neisseria gonorrhoeae and encourage research and development of new treatment regimens.

I suspect the insistence of "rawdogging" and comments about "pull out game" are indicative of the mindset that has led to these results.

The states with the highest rates of cases were:

Alaska for chlamydia
Mississippi for gonorrhea
Nevada for primary and secondary syphilis

For each of those three diseases, rates in the District of Columbia were higher than all states.

The instagram/thot culture combined with slutty being "cool" and the proliferation of "hookup apps" has led to an explosion of sex and de-stigmatization of promiscuity.

wrong, wrong, wrong.

The styles have changed, getting laid at a high frequency as a college kid has not.

promiscuity in college has been going on as far back as the boomers.

Most of us were just lucky to not be in college during the social media generation. Yeah the girls dress sluttier now, but has nothing to do with them putting out more, it's just socially acceptable to dress like a hoe.

I was greek in the early 2000s at an SEC school. Hooking up was shooting fish in a barrel, girls just didnt wear club clothes to bars like they do now.

I have absolutely no idea how I didn’t catch anything in my tinder days. I can’t remember the names of half of the girls I slept with and not a single used condom.

......all I can say is make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after using the public restroom and that includes using a paper towel on the doorhandle as you exit. May not be a total preventive measure.......but it helps.

I have a daughter who is now a darned good RN.....total professional. She did some on-site inner city medical residency (one of them inner-city neighborhood clinics) while studying for her BS-N. After doing that inner city stuff she blurted out to me one day - "OMG Daddy now I know why you were the way you were. The STD's these kids are infected with today would literally turn your stomach".

That was a few years back. Apparently it's only gotten worse.

Like I said wash your hands after using public restrooms.

hookup apps 100% have changed the culture. I have college aged cousins that tell us they will have 3-4 conversations with college chicks they've never met that are on the apps for dick every.single.night.

That is in addition to the traditional ways we know of like meeting them at parties and bars. It just connects the horny people in a more efficient way.

hi guys.

DNA, urge to replicate.

Our society is sex driven.

The entire enterprise of existence in the red-yellow vibratory realm we here on td are "in" is about duplicating whatever, replication, same as same.

Wishful thinking...

From the article which is referring to the CDC study...
quote:

It's estimated that young people ages 15 to 24 acquire half of all new STD cases and 1 in 4 sexually active adolescent girls has an STD, according to the report.

Here's what the demographics are for Baton Rouge. Poor black population, LSU campus, old guys doing crack whores, and sadly, sexual assault cases. These make up the majority of positive STDs.
