WTF? So tired of this "allegedly" BS
quote:
BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge police have arrested three teenagers in connection to a June 18th overnight break-in at the Baton Rouge River Center.
The arrested teens include Javin Thomas, 17, Edward Eisley, 18, and Tatiana Gordon, 19. All three were arrested on June 24 and charged with simple burglary and criminal damage to property.
2 of them were 18 and up. So much for that new policy at Mall of LA
quote:
Sources tell UWK that police used nearby surveillance video to track the three arrested people they believe were behind the break-in, which happened around 3:30 a.m. on June 18. Employees working inside the River Center reportedly locked themselves inside an office during the incident.
BRPD confirms that there was $50,000 in damage to the River Center but that nothing was taken.
WTF again. Why didn't anyone call the police while they were inside the building tearing up $50,000?
quote:
The River Center break-in came as police investigated a series of vehicle break-ins in the Beauregard area, including two that happened hours before the River Center incident.
quote:
Concerned residents in the area reported two truck break-ins overnight on Tuesday, June 18 including one on Royal St. and another on France St. The masked suspects were seen in the area around the same time these break-ins occurred, UWK is told.
Residents tell UWK that there have been nearly 20 vehicle break-ins in this area of downtown in the past month. These burglaries come weeks after a woman was shot and killed while confronting someone during a vehicle burglary on June 4.
Roneisha Truvillion, 29, was shot in the 1100 block of Spanishtown Rd. after she noticed someone breaking into her vehicle. Police say Truvillion went outside to confront the suspects, who then fired several shots.
Truvillion was hit by a bullet and transported to a hospital but later died from her injuries.

Standard journalism as I understand it. If they drop the allegedly, they can be sued for libel/defamation. They would be factually claiming someone committed a crime before they’ve been convicted of such crime.

bullshite
You can say "They were arrested for XXX" plain and simple.
You are not pronouncing them guilty; you are just stating they were arrested and that is an undeniable easily proven fact.
