Thoughts on the 2016 Tacoma?

I know we got a lot of Taco owners on here. May be one of the top five most common vehicles on Tigerdroppings.
I love my truck and especially love that in four years it has not depreciated a penny. Never any real problems, but like most other people I like new stuff sometimes. Plus I want a four door and I have an access cab.
I'm torn between buying a new one or keeping mine and getting a used Excursion as a family trip vehicle. (I always liked those and they are cheap used)
I keep seeing things on the new Tacoma and I believe the resale and dependability will be there, though giving up that bulletproof 4.0 will be hard.

I am too tall and have too many kids to get this sort of thing (baby seats would push me too far up and I'm not sure you could sit 3 baby seats across). I've always been partial to Chevys myself. Their cars are crap but their trucks have never let me or anyone in my family down.

Marty McFlys was way cooler

My friend works at Toyota as a dealer, and he tells me to hold onto my truck until it dies. Says he don't know if they will be as good over time. My situation I paid a little over $9k for my truck four years ago and Toyota valued it at $10.5 on the trade in.
The idea of getting an old SUV and just using it for the few times I take the kids somewhere and don't have her Venza.

Love mine. I wonder where the 4x selector is in that one, I don't see it. Mines on the dash to the right of the ignition.

How many of those pictures driving conditions would you drive in?

Yes
Not really
(never liked that style much, but as a kid I wanted it)

The salesman suggested the "gangsta" lean seating position so that I would fit. He was serious.
For a truck it really should have a much larger feeling interior than it does. Our current cars are both smaller and feel way more roomy in the drivers seat.
... a 991 911 feels way bigger now that I think about it.

The newest Excursion is a 2005 year model.
frick trusting my family and time away from home to an automobile that old.
Dumb move.

California plates. I wonder if these are some of the engineers that refused to move to north Dallas.

Good vehicles. Too bad they don't come with diesel engines.

I'd consider a black 4 door on 33s to replace my four door Colorado.

I like that console better than mine, what year is that? Mine is a 2006 and I only have one cup holder behind the shifter and two infront. I use one cup holder for my mini-tablet mount, and the other would block my sat radio. So I only have the one cupholder I can use.
I like the dash and radio color better too.
Though I do like not having a note.
