You can. I wouldn't suggest getting married to do it, though. Why not just keep it a domestic partnership? That way she can't get half your shite after you frick her best friend and she wants a divorce.

I haven't seen any legit reason against such an arrangement yet

Human beings are jealous people. Is it natural for you to want to bang other women? There is that argument. Is it natural that doing so will lead to jealousy and an explosion of your relationship, even with "consent?" There is that argument, too. It is a rare couple that can uncouple their feelings of jealousy from their feelings of love and it is the rare person who can have sex with another without some modicum of intimacy and all that comes with it.

And no one has offered a real suggestion as to how to approach the subject

That's because there's not a fricking playbook to it. Just ask her about it. When she calls off the wedding, count yourself lucky as I'm sure she will count herself lucky.

If this is a serious question, you should absolutely approach this subject before you get married. Not after.

This dude I know tried the swinging thing once and found a hot chick that was a friend of theirs who was married to a dude that we will nickname berg because of his similar looks.

They go to separate areas of the house and the dude I know finishes up in about 5 minutes and then has to listen as the missing link destroys his wife for an hour and a half. Lol. He cried about it. She left him a couple years later.

Wasn't there a movie about this with Demi Moore, that resulted in a ton of pain for the people involved? I know, it's a movie, but can you really see it being any different in real life?

Wut? A spouse having a mistress/secret lover was way more common long ago than it is now.

Most people can't handle it. If you both can handle it, more power to you. No judgment from me. I personally would not prefer it.

No. Either you both are open to open relationships from the beginning, or you grow to that point together, or you're not both on that page. You don't just pop the subject up one day.

FWIW, check out /r/relationships. A LOT of threads with women whose boyfriends/fiances/husbands asked for it and then went apeshit when they realized what reality presents: the woman getting plenty of sex, the man getting very little.
