If they would quit building cookie cutter subdivisions in Madisonville and allow infrastructure to catch up to population growth, traffic wouldn't be so bad.

Metairie is the best place to live in Louisiana.

Are you working there?
If this isn’t a work thing why live in Louisiana?
I wouldn’t move to mandeville but need more information since you said I could live anywhere in Louisiana.
I’d go west or north of there if want to stay in the north shore area.
If you have zero need to be close to a certain area pick rural anywhere.

Stay in Bryan/College Station.
I would guess the glory hole scene there is enough by itself to keep you there.
Mandeville is full, no one else is allowed in.

Thoughts on Mandeville?
Overrated. There are better places to live in the Qudraplex.

Anywhere in Louisiana is such a strange requirement.

Can't go wrong in St. Tammany

Best place to raise a family in the NOLA Metro. Also the safest. That being said, it’s still a commuter community for the most part.

You consider MS gulf coast?

Moving from Baton Rouge to the north shore, the worst traffic I encounter now would be a good day in BR. Going west from the Causeway can be bad, but I don't ever go that way. I'd never move to Madisonville if I had to commute anywhere... but Mandeville, Covington, all the way down to Slidell the traffic is minimal. To Madisonville, it can suck.

When we first moved here I thought Mandeville /Covington area was great, but it is really not. Yes it's safe and there are nice neighborhoods but way too many empty strip malls and every new store we get is a scaled down version of the ones you see elsewhere. As soon as my kids get out of school, I'm out of Louisiana completely.

So where should I go in Louisiana?
I couldn't imagine moving to a state that voted for a Dem governor over a conservative endorsed by Trump. Shows extremely deep problems with the people who live there. They are not smart and do not make good decisions.

No, they really don't. Fridays on 22 starting at lunch time can be a nightmare

The place that says “Now leaving Louisiana “

Dude, Rispone never really addressed state issues. He ran on national issues in a state election. He was the only Republican who wanted to run...he was from the donor class. A good man, but not anywhere close to being a politician.
