You're absolutely correct on that one!

Will last as long as you need it.
If you are on smooth roads this is a great vehicle choice. Its also fantastic for traveling if its just you and the spouse. Will last as long as you like it.
Its fine for kids just not for long rides.
The GX is more comfortable and really affordable if you buy used.
Toyota is the best carmaker in the business. You will not go wrong with any Lexus you choose and youll be overly satisfied with your maintenance.

I don’t disagree with anything you said. But god are they boring to drive. I’ve had two Lexus cars in my life and never again, simply because they drive like boats.

Haha, if you want the car to do magic tricks Lexus is not for you, I will agree.
Its pretty plain but I love the GX. I actually bought it because I like the simplicity and the beating I know that vehicle can take over 15 years.

I just got an 08 and I listed to my Spotify with a Bluetooth cassette adapter. I haven't had a cassette player since the 90s.

We have a 2011 RX 350 that my teenage son drives. I drive it a lot too. We love it.

Probably very well built like most Toyotas and will last forever, but have to ask, why not the Highlander or Camry on which it is based? It's the same thing. The prestige of the (L) badge can't be worth that much when there is little changes other than the sheet metal which is ugly.
Higlander is way better looking in my book.

My wife has a 2017 with about 50k miles. Bought it at Sewell Lexis of Fort Worth. We have never experienced a problem with it and Sewell keeps it well maintained. The first two years all servicing was free, and now service charges are very reasonable.

I have a 2021 rx350 with 75000 miles.
It has used regular gas from day one with no problems. The engine is the same 2GR-FKS found in the Tacoma, Highlander, sienna, etc. does not need 93 octane.
It’s a nice car and is quiet, but the transmission programming is atrocious. I have never seen so much gear hunting. V6 has zero low end torque but transmission tries to keep it at 1000 rpms

You can quibble about whether they “require” it, but they certainly recommend premium gas. I’m pretty sure every Lexus does
This is incorrect

I like the change of the grill but it’s so close in price to the new TX which is bigger. Seems like a better bang for your buck
100% this.
The RX is perfect for grandparents that might occasionally drive around one or 2 grandkids.
For any family with 2 or more kids, the TX is significantly larger, not much more expensive and ultimately a better value.

2024 Venza looks great as well.
Toyota's entire lineup right now is really top notch.

Reminds me of a Landcruiser.
GX's have always been LC adjacent. They used to be Prado's for the US, now they're just nicer 3rd row optional version of the LC.
Also, they're way overkill for anyone who thinks an RX will be sufficient. The GX is a legit offroader.

Service at Lexus dealerships is unparalleled. Drive up, get a loaner - no questions asked. Bring the loaner back at your convenience.
For weekend trips (Thursday pm to Monday) out of MSY you could schedule your maintenance for a Friday, bring your vehicle in on a Thursday, have them drop you at the airport and then call them on Monday when you get back in town to come pick you up at Arrivals at MSY.
Not that I would ever abuse the relationship that way....

Seems less of a hassle for THEM than giving you a loaner vehicle or shuttling you all the way to the CBD and back, which are two things they will generally offer to do as a matter of course.

It is and you (hypothetically) get dropped off at the departure gate and picked up there as well.
Plus paying nada for parking.
