My only thought on this is the person recording the video is an a-hole. Turn the damn phone horizontal!

Son needs to know the truth and effects of drug use. Sucks to have to say it or hear it but it's a necessary evil.

I had a friend who apparently tried to get off this shite several times for his kids, but wasn't able to before it got him.

The kids are too young to understand so I have no idea what the wife told them.

I get using this as a warning, but I'm not sure how I feel about this being on film

Dad is a drug addict too. That's fricking terrible that two drug addicts can get together and have a kid who will be screwed up for life

He apparently has been clean for a few months. Not sure how long it takes before you can officially say you've kicked heroin

I was 9 when my mom had to tell me my dad killed himself. Will never forget that moment. I was at my Aunt's house, after a parade (Irish-Italian I think). Parents got into at the parade, dad left. While at my Aunt's house, my mom gets a call, dad asks for me. I can tell he is tearing up, tells me "I love you son". Didn't really comprehend what was going on. My mom and my aunt leave. About an hour later my Uncle gets a call, says "WTF?" and rolls out franticly. I have no idea what is going on, thinking my parents got into an argument and my Uncle was going to break it up.

Couple hours later my mom walks in, then my grandmother, then 2-3 more aunts, my godmother, another uncle. I remember they way they all looked. I thought they genuinely had the flu.

My mom and my grandmother (my dad's mom) walk up to me in the living room. She says "Your Dad died..." I was so shocked it did not register. I said wait what? Her response "Do you know what suicide is?". That was it. I collapsed. I couldn't tell you what happened in the next 12 hours, but I remember falling.

I wish someone would have recorded that because maybe it would make people think twice about it. Just typing this hurts my soul. That was 15 years ago.

I know a few drug addicts I went to school with, who can go 6 months to a year at a time sober. But they always go back to drugs at some point. Most have done more stints in rehab than you can count on a hand. Id say 3 years minimum to say youve kicked it

The video is hard to watch but that's the point. Hopefully it will motivate addicts to get help. I feel really bad for the kid, but if it prevents other kids from having to go through this same pain it's a good thing.

They both are addicts. fricking idiots.

Addicts are stupid as frick. They go to rehab and they make friends with former addicts. They date and marry former addicts like themselves. Then one person falls off the wagon and starts using again and all of their friends start using again with them. What they should do is only associate with people who have never used drugs and arent at risk to start using them on urges. Those people are much more likely to stop the addict from using again

Dude I am so sorry hear you went through that. As far as this situation with the ones on the Video I refuse to watch. I would ask how old is this kid. If young I would think it's best to find the right time ( if you can ) to tell him.
