Because freedom IS life. Without freedom you are just marking time here. Might as well not be here.

I mean it's okay, feel free to update your OP if you want

those are just headline numbers that lack a great deal of context, but it would be a decent start to show per capita results to at least normalize for the respective population size.

It would actually be great to see the true number of deaths strictly from covid. No other factors, just covid.

I am not doubting that people are dying from covid, but what is the actual number of people that were healthy, got covid and died. I would like to know that.

But we will never know that.

Total deaths aren't higher so I don't understand the discomfort.

Eta: Should have said not much higher.

Australia population is like 25 million right?

350M/25M = 14

14 X 2387 = 33k

836k/33k = 25

You’re 25x more likely to die of Covid in the US than you are in Australia.

The lesson is that idiots suck at math.

What? Are you saying total deaths in the US aren't higher for 2021?

And it isn't comforting because there isn't a demographic subset in the US that exists without serious comorbidities, except for maybe children.

We won't know for a little while but 2020 is under 3 million. If you account for the increase in overdoses that's not much higher than 2019. If we're trying to attribute over half a million deaths because of COVID the numbers just aren't there.

It’s the way they’re counting. Anyone who dies with covid in America is a covid death

The preliminary data suggests 500,000 excess deaths. The life table data won't be published for a few years though. The death trend in the US is exceedingly odd in general, beginning in 2011.

You know... we could have zero car deaths if we made the speed limit 5 mph everywhere.

Untrue. You’d have to lock every car in garages and put people with jail when they took their car out.

Why is the U.S.A. the only one that is still counting?

Also, they definitely won’t inflate their deaths to make themselves look better.

Yesterday I talked to a friend who had been on a group call to friends in Australia. My Friend and her husband got out of Australia just as WU Flu was happening.

Australia has been shut down for two years.

No in this province you can't sit outside in your fenced in back yard.

It's not open to discussion. Period. Full stop.
