Those of you with illegal tint, how often does it cause y’all issues?

Tickets? Pulled over? Inspection stickers?

Getting two vehicles tinted Saturday and trying to figure out how dark I can go without causing issues. SUV and truck so I know I can go as dark as I want on the rear windows. Front is supposed to be 40% and windshield can only have top 5 inches tinted. I’d like to go 25% on front windows & 70% on windshield. Would most cops just leave us be?

When are crooked Louisiana politicians gonna change this law? They can do it but we can’t? It’s hot. And I want to protect my vehicles dashboards/interior

But why do you hate law enforcement officers and want all of them to be murdered during traffic stops?

I had 20% on my work truck and the only difficulty I ever had was with getting it inspected at chain establishments. 25% is "legal" in Texas (even though cop cars are darker) and they would check opacity during inspection and fail it.

Go to an optometrist.
Say you're a welder.
Pretend to have light sensitivity.
Get doctors note that allows illegal tint.

Gets the thing. If cops can have dark tint the public should be able to as well.

20% all the way around with 5" of dark on windshield.

Wont pass inspection but will ride for 2yrs on the new brake tag.

I have 15 on my front and 70 on my windshield, no issues unless you’re already pulled over for something different. No way to notice the 70 on the windshield.

No matter what, get a new two year before you get it done to reset the clock on your brake tag.

I’ve had 5% since I got my truck like 4 years ago. Haven’t gotten a single ticket. But I also haven’t had an inspection sticker for 4 years either. Still no tickets.

I cannot understand why the law won't let us have reasonable tint in South Louisiana.
