Got people in here that won't take the flu shot, yet they want us to shut down the border because of the coronavirus. Cracks me up.
Didn’t realize the flu shot protected against the coronavirus.

You sound really smart.

I don’t have the flu, but a stomach virus slammed into me about 11:30 last night. I feel like I’m at death’s door.

Yes, it’s nasty. I’m on Day 5 right now.
I’ve never felt muscle aches like I did on days 1-3. Absolutely brutal. Didn’t eat for 3 days and had a 24 hour stretch where I’d dry heave basically each time I got out of bed. Fever thankfully broke the night of day 3.
So little energy that going up and down the stairs once to get some water feels like I ran a marathon. I’m hot, then cold, then parts of me are both hot and cold at the same time. Ugh.
But as the fever and muscle aches calmed down, the respiratory effects have heated up over the last 1.5 days and the headache has largely remained. I feel like I have another 2-3 days before I’m really even remotely healthy.
My stomach actually growled this morning, I may attempt a real meal of food later for the first time since my dinner weds night.

I just tried some toast about an hour ago and it came right back up. Hopefully this nonsense calms down soon - only slept about 3 hours last night and woke up twice during those 3 hours with coughing fits.

My son's basketball coach has been in the bed for 7 days with flu.
I thought it always ran it's course in 48 hours.
I told him he was a puss

The one year I didn't get mine I got it. That was last year.
The flu was actually mild, it was the pneumonia and bronchitis after that got me. I was terribly sick with that

My mother in law has it this week and it got me out of having to pick up a dresser from her house on the way home from work. Sooooo its worked out pretty well for me so far.

I don't think I've ever had the flu and I'm almost 32. Get shots, don't get shots doesn't seem to matter. Somehow got walking pneumonia in college though. Had it for a month before I even did anything about it.

.Last year two of my grandsons got the flu despite the shot.I know for a fact their diets are crap, all they eat are pizza, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, chips, candy and cold drinks.
Seems the new thing for white girl Moms is they don't cook anymore for the family. Either Dad cooks or the kids eat fast food.
That's progress, baw.

Im on day 5 of having it and still feel that Im at about a 4-5/10. Absolutely crushed me. Sweating from fever and shivering from chills at same time. Body aches everywhere. Throat and chest feel like I got kicked by a mule. Cant sleep. Pretty shitty right now.

That was the worst part to me. It looked like I pissed the bed several mornings in a row. It's an odd sensation to be freezing your arse off and sweating at the same time.

Indeed it is. My bed has been soaked the last few mornings too. I had a solid rhythm going. Wet rag on forehead and roll over on left side and shiver, cough up a lung, force a sip of water. Roll over and repeat on right side for a solid 8 hrs straight. It even sucks to take a piss right now.
