I was prescribed a muscle relaxer earlier this year for my jaw clinching when I was sleeping and I didn’t take it. I take BP meds every day and have no issues.

Based on the down votes, there's a lot of die-hard pill poppers around here. What gives?

PSA: you always want to take antibiotics for strep throat. The longer you fight that infection, the higher risk of your immune system getting triggered by an antigen on the bacteria that resembles an antigen in heart tissue.

But unless there's a downside to the medicine why not take it?
Have you ever seen a commercial for medicine?

I was once prescribed Vioxx, an NSAID. Pharmacy screwed up and gave me Viagra. I didn't take it

Yep. Big difference between antibiotics and pain pills.

Got prescribed methocarbamol after tweaking something in the gym. Like a 7 day supply. Took it for 2 days then just used it as a sleep aid on nights when I was struggling to fall asleep until I ran out. Think those 21 tabs lasted me a year and a half

prescribed statins
I really don't like going to the doctor, but Statins and Metformin are the only things I would take without question.

I never filled my pain meds after my root canal. It was such sweet relief that I didn’t think I needed them.

I never take the hydrocodone I've been prescribed after surgery. It's never done anything but make me drowsie but doesn't help with pain antibiotics have always knocked out infections and Xanax is king.

Cutting out stress can make a bigger improvement than meds for Crohn's. Dealt with it over half my life.

Your question is asinine. Your premise is that anyone who takes prescribed medication is weak and you can simply overcome on your own regardless. Thats alot different than saying I don’t take Mucinex when I get a fricking cold.

I didn’t take an antibiotic one time. Seven days later I was in the hospital with severe pneumonia that almost killed me.
But I hardly ever take stuff that I get prescribed. Pharmaceuticals for the most part are poison.

Coming from the guy who thinks we should have human umpires over a robotic strike zone, I completely believe your take.

This, or really any heavy duty pain meds.

I take no prescription medicine at all, or any medicine for that matter.
For anything.
Ever.

Ever.

Never. Had wisdom teeth pulled and they prescribed vicodin or percoset. Absolutely not.
Told the guy don't even bother writing it.
It was a little worrisome that the little gay dentist couldn't understand why I had no interest in getting free percoset.

Viagra. I didn't take it
Five years ago my doc wrote me a script for low dose viagra because we were going hiking above 10k feet for a week.
Ive filled it religiously every month since. I probably have 1000 pills at this point
Every now and then I'll pop three and break the wife in half.

Meh...
Im not a huge fan, but I've taken them after a surgery.
People that think you'll get "hooked" are totally wrong, or weak and soft.
If you tell any doctor you dont want them, he won't write them. No one is gonna make anyone take anything.
This thread is hilarious.
