Dude, you can't laugh at one group and ignore the lunacy of another.

Ok sure but you also can't really compare a bunch of college kids rushing a field after a big win to a bunch of 30-60 year olds frolicking into the grand opening of a theme park that is themed on toys, and movies that are made for little children.

And I am not saying that I wouldn't have a blast at this place-I definitely could-but grown arse adults filming themselves and others frolicking feverishly into a children's media themed park is on the weird side.

How is it worse than Alabama fans running the field to meet Saban?

Its not. Hero worship is weird.

quote:

College football fans are, by in large, retarded. They pay hundreds, if not thousands, for the right to have a worse view of a game than they could have for free at home on TV. They are by in large, LARGE. They are by in large, unassociated with the university other than that sport. They arrive early, stay all day, and sometimes stay overnight. They travel the country to attend games.

quote:

How is it worse than hunters that spend tens of thousands on a lease, tens of thousands on gear, and thousand on travel other costs to wake up before dawn to maybe kill a deer?

Or a fisherman that buys expensive gear and a boat and a truck to pull the boat

I mean, I don't have a problem with what people spend their money on. The money isn't really the issue here.

And I don't actually care one bit about what anyone does to get their jollies off so long as its harmless. I'm just talking shite on the internet.

I'm on the side of "let people like what they like"

However, I will certainly laugh that none of these people look like they know how to run. They're skedaddling

I think part of it is you aren't supposed to run so people walk super fast and eventually fudge it a little by doing this half speed walk/run.

Others are just flat out of shape though.

New Orleans Jazz Fest would be a more apt comparison than field/court rushing.

A bunch of old folks running as soon as gates open to get spots close to stages.

I swear, it's the running of the Gumps, except Saban is no longer at the end of the rainbow.

All the people are travels agents for the soft opening. Know several who went. Universal wants them to check it out to encourage others to attend.

That's not the soft opening though, unless it was just uploaded days late.

I have no interest in theme parks! (As I am looking out of my window at someone that may be stepping on my lawn…….”Get off my lawn!”)
