Was 16 at the time and can't imagine blowing the money that way but sorry for partying eh?
I would have traded in my 1973 Gran Torino and gotten a sweeter ride.

In the 80s and 90s from sun up to sun down you could go anywhere. Just be home when the street lights come on.
.at 10 I was riding miles away on my bike to the mall.

Lucky the cops got him. Because this sounds a lot like how the plot for No Country for Old Men got started.

today kids have a disease for attention. They would have gotten tik tok and posted the money and stayed in their parent's room all day. I feel bad for today's society.

Well that definitely trumps the 100 dollar bill I found one evening walking up to the movie theater with my GF. shite that paid for the movie and dinner afterwards with change to spare.

When I was an area supervisor for Wendy's (many years ago), the Lubbock store manager's wife stole a deposit out of the safe (her H left it on daylock in violation of the rules). She bought a TransAm or Firebird with the money, I think it was used but nice. A store review with about four of us was in progress when his wife arrived at the store in the car. She was fat and very annoying but her husband was a good guy. He wasn't fired, she had to return the car for the money. I don't remember whether the company prosecuted her. The franchise President was with us when she drove up.

but they didn't even notice their kids were not at home all of that time?
It was the 80's.
They used to run a PSA during the nightly news reminding people that they had kids.

Looks like Kevin DIllon and Richard Ramirez's love child.
Easily a young Kevin Dillon from the 1988 Blob remake

Amazing they did all of that for $3 Grand...
The 80's were awesome...
I think back to my high school days in the late 70s. One of my friends showed up in a brand new Camaro. Sticker was still on it $6,000.
We were like damn! six thousand dollars Dan! May as well have been $6m to us then.
