My Dad was a Boomer. His father and mother were both children of the Depression and his father was 40 when he was born.

He was hard on my Dad. Worked him from the time he was around 8, till the day he left home.

My Dad wasn’t a hippie. He despised hippies, loved Reagan and was a staunch conservative with a solid work ethic. He took care of me and did a good job raising me and helping raise my children.

They weren’t/aren’t all bad
