This has to be killing the sales industry

Your clients are all busy as hell either with either their families, or ensuring that their companies can support everyone working from home. The first thing to go in that case is talking with vendors.
Got to imagine our sales baws are taking a beating. Hang in there fellas.

Not for me, I'm a door-to-door TP salesman. Now that everyone is staying home from work I'm really cleaning up!

They aren’t even allowed to call on our plant now. They’ll just hang out at local watering hole and put out names on their receipts.

Yep, I do advertising. This sucks.

All of my events and dinners are getting canceled. Just got the email this morning to forecast lost opportunities due to the virus.

My FIL prints promotional materials. A big chunk of his business comes from companies printing stuff for festivals, which are all being cancelled/postponed. Lucky for him, he was paid for most of the ones that start next month despite them being cancelled.

My industry is collegiate sports sponsorship sales. We are screwed.

I'm retired, but my wife works for a real estate title company and a lot of realtors are shutting down "Open Houses" for the time being.
Title companies are cancelling seminars and conventions and the marketers are finding it harder and harder to have "meet and greets" with potential clients.
Even though most of my wife's end of the business is handled over the phone or through e-mails, buyers, sellers, attorneys and sometimes realtors still have to meet to close the sale in an office.
It is definitely having an effect and they are hoping it's short-term.

Enterprise Software sales are mostly fine, and depending on the product/market could see small lifts.

I cracked the door wide enough to grab the bag of chik fil a then slammed it shut on a vendor. Hopefully he understands.

Not booze sales. It's like the holidays out here.

I am in Cloud Technology sales so most of my work was already remote anyways....this affects us only because of the fact that companies are either pausing projects or have put on hold projects...I continue to sell and have meetings with clients. Most international companies I'm dealing with just see this as a risk, not company ender.
