Pensacola isn’t that nice, but is a HUGE upgrade from any city in Louisiana.

I stay in Pensacola 20+ times a year. I like Pensacola. Downtown is nice. There aren’t “tons of bars and night life” like the one dude said but it’s alright. The beach is nice but gets pretty trashy in the summer. That’s because all over Florida some of the trashiest white people on the planet are waiting back there in those pine thickets a couple of miles from the beach. Pensacola is no exception. In your day to day life you will have to encounter these people. Will they be as bad as the culture creatures in NOLA? Maybe not. But Pensacola won’t be a safe haven from trash and stupidity. For that you will need to look elsewhere

Given the choice between Pensacola vs. NOLA, hands down Pensacola without hesitation.

Is it NOT New Orleans?

Pretty much all you need to know.

The wife's family has done at least one week in Pensacola Beach every year since before she was born. If we could retire today we would be buying a condo there tomorrow and moving in the day after.
