You will get great career training in the air force. I got an associates, bachelor's and a master's degree while active duty.... plus 6 months of great training in my tech school).

They invested easily 200k (likely more) in preparing me for the rest of my life.

Good luck, hooah.

Just a tip, the drill sergeants with the blue disc behind the brass insignia means they're an emotional support drill sergeant. If you ever have a problem, they're the ones to talk to.

Congrats on your MOS choice. Great aircraft and great community. You will enjoy working on it. Down the road you'll get your name painted on the side as a Flight Engineer.

This

Once you accept the fact that everything that you do for 9 weeks is a game you will be way ahead of everyone else.

Yup, and the fastest way out is to graduate.

Dont mess around with that getting hurt/fat BS.

And dont volunteer for anything.

I joined the LANG as a 68WF at 27.

Basic at Benning. Hope you are going there.

When I got to Ft. Sam the guys that went thru basic with chicks said they hated it cause they always were getting mass punishment for chicks screwing up.

I think Benning and Knox are the only places that were dudes only. Maybe that has changed.

Only job I volunteered for was running the ammo shed during the range days. Well, I was volun-told to do so.

I did 3 years and GTFO. OEF 10-11.

I'm a CIV for Uncle Sugar now. Those 5 points really help out if you want to go civil service, which is the best way yo go if you aren't going to own your own business. Cause no one will ever pay you what he will.

I know almost nothing about Army procedures but I'd know better than to fall for that.
