I take Potassium Magnesium Citrate daily to prevent more stones, if you're interested in something that's completely natural and scientifically proven to prevent stones.

My wife had our first earlier this year and her first kidney stone a couple weeks ago. Can confirm passing a stone is apparently worse than childbirth.

It’s incredibly common in the Bible Belt because of the consumption of coke and sweet tea. Dark liquids leave a lot of residue that can turn into stones. Most people have stones in their kidneys, just a question of if they ever make it to the ureter (most don’t)

Apparently the urethra from the bladder to daylight is much wider than the ureter from the kidney to the bladder. I’ve learned way more about kidney stones when my wife got hers than I ever wanted to know. They say anything greater than 5mm needs to be blasted apart or surgically removed. Have a friend whose dad was an EMT who had a history of them and passed a 9mm. Said it was the only time she’s ever seen her dad cry other than her wedding day

I get them because I simply cannot get hydrated enough. It sucks. I seem to always have a few rattling around in my kidneys (they’ve seen multiple every time I’ve had a scan), but I only seem to have a bad attack every 3-4 years or so. The last one I had was last year maybe and it was thankfully a very short hour long vice grip of pain. The pain pops up out of no where and gets crazy intense.

I’m pretty thankful to not be a man and have to pass that thing “your way”. :yikes: I haven’t tried the bath relief (from what I remember). I’ll keep that in mind, but gravity on the kidney is killer. The last time I went to the doc for one, he gave me ED meds just in case I couldn’t pass it.

Godspeed with the stone! May it go peacefully and quickly.

It’s going to sound strange, but the only thing that helped me was taking a bath.

I have had them most of my life. Now since I am an adult I can feel when one is coming because I will have low back pain and I just know. I always have pain medicine ready and also drink lots of water and beer. These things are painful and a pain in the arse. Good luck!! I never knew about the hot water thing. I may try that next time I get one.

Jerk it a couple few times and it'll pop right out.

You need an ER visit. Apple Cider Vinegar. The unpurified stuff with the sludge in the bottom of the bottle.

shoot yourself in the foot, then your stone won't hurt so much.

The pain episodes are urine pressure building up in the kidney as it tries to push the stone. If you have intense pain followed by reduced or no pain, the stone has moved. Once it gets to the bladder you’re home free.

I was told by the doctor that it's the stone dragging along your urethra.

I've had three. two passed on their own. One required me getting the laser through the water bag treatment.

The second one was the worst. Injected morphine at the ER was the only thing that really helped with that one.

I haven't had one in 15 years, but every know and then, when I get a pain in the either side of the lower back, I start to panic.

My Urologist told me that drinking lemonade daily can help with the formation of stones. Citric Acid breaks down the particles that form stones.

Hi, You might try this. It worked for me a few years ago. The stone passed after I had used about 3/4 of the 1 oz bottle. When it passed it was so soft that it broke apart in my hands. I'm just thankful that no one walked in on me in the Sam's Club restroom with my hand in the urinal trying to retrieve it. Good luck.

Go to the doctor. There can be complications. I hope everything goes well for you.
