Think back to when you were a kid, what surprises you most about the year 2020?

Still hard to believe with all the the technology with cell phones that we still have dropped calls and dead spots in rural areas. Just weird to me.

Optimus Prime and Megatron are not killing each other as the cartoon predicted.

Thought America would continue to be the greatest country only to realize we consist of the fattest and laziest people on earth

In the 2009 season wild card game, they lost to the Ravens by 19 despite Flacco only throwing for 34 yards.

There was a cartoon when I was a kid in the 70’s called Sea Lab 2020. I’m disappointed we don’t have things like it today...
No underwater working communities....

North Baton Rouge was very safe. We didn't really worry about crime much while eating dinner on Plank Road or North Airline.

I can watch the game on a cell phone in the palm of my hand. When I was a kid a I played a baseball game that just had red lights on it about the size of my cell phone. Amazing.

That 33 years later we're still stuck in the middle east. 9-11 being possible for anyone to pull off.

For tech: Cell phones allowing us to call anywhere in the country for free. Of course the Internet. Having owned a 1st gen Mac that required an external hard drive, I'd be shocked that I would be doing everything I did then x1000 on a cell phone that fits in my pocket.

Not as obvious: The availability of free GPS to civilians, music available on demand over cable lines, and the prediction that we'd have 100s of tv channels. Also both the Cubs and Florida have won World Series (BTTF2.)

I remember that subscription cable tv was being pushed as the end of commercials.

Now cable tv is full of commercials.

Remember TV Guide? I can remember I thought that seeing the program guide on the TV was like seeing a UFO and now we have that plus DVR.

My kids were born when Obama was in office and i was so happy they got to see their first white president get elected when DJT too office.

It was a pretty historic moment in my house for those kids and i was glad they got to experience that.

When I was a kid, I would never feature the Methodist Church splitting and the pro-gay faction keeping the name, “”United Methodist Church.”

Also, still pretty surprised that Queen Elizabeth is still kicking strong in 2020.
