Gen X let ipads raise their kids. Sad. Terrible gen.
Gen X has contributed a ton to how we all live our everyday lives. No one can deny that. However, as a hardcore X’er with an 8yr old son, we have some explaining to do about the kids we’re raising. Most of my friends have kids in high school or college right now and none of them can do shite for themselves. It’s mind boggling.
Then I have my son’s world. We’re usually the oldest parents in his social circle so I’m surrounded by millennials all the time. Watching this group coddle the shite out of their kids is crazy. We have 3rd graders that can’t tie shoes or ride a bike. If we’re doing something outside in the summer, 90% of these kids check out after a few minutes because mom is chasing them with sunscreen and long sleeve spf shirts. It’s a real struggle.
Also, millennials gave you modern day travel ball. They took the sport you would play in an empty lot with your friends and turned it into stereotype.
