Do you you kill ants with magnifying glasses?

Cause if you enjoy that, you might have issues

Back in the day you could get an industrial grade magnifying glass from the consumer Edmunds Scientific catalogue. Things could ignite concrete, much more fun than ants.

That's what we always called it. I don't know why. But yes, a mud dauber.

Well, Hell Yes!
When I was 12
Magnifying glass was a gateway drug to candle wax and then the ultimate..
Lighting plastic green army men on fire and raining down flaming molten plastic on the ant mounds
Good times and 45 years later I'm left with only a few issues.

Ducks. Not as much Teal, but big ducks. Mallards, Pintail, Gadwall. Nothing, I mean nothing is more exciting than seeing a flight, working them to your decoys, seeing them cup their wings, dropping their feet, and calling the shot. Watching the dog retrieve dead ones & chase cripples(damned steel shot). Too bad we don’t get the birds we used to…

We all did
and by "we" I mean my gang from Sherwood Forest and Broadmoor subdivision in Baton Rouge back in the early 80's
N.A. Guns on Florida Blvd would sell us FFFG black powder.
Selling to someone under the age of 18 was legal back then.
Can't tell you how many DIY hand grenades we made out of Dad's Old Spice aftershave bottles. Lol
