The thrill of waking up early on a saturday morning and watching them Saturday morning cartoons
My bro and I couldnt wait to get up at 7am and watch cartoons till around 11am on Saturdays. Kids these days can watch cartoons 24/7.

Years ago I found a full set of my 5th grade report cards. First one was riddled with Cs, and in the comments section had something about how I spoke to much in class etc etc....ie "ratting me out for misbehaving."
I looked at the rest of them, and I had all As and 1 B on each, with comments on how much better behaved i've been. I started to laugh as I could only imagine the bare arse belt whuppin I got from my dad when I showed him that first report card. Ha.

Was I the only one who would get beau coup Colombia House. Then call in and say "ok only 14, I can't be legally bound by contract"
I used to have hundreds of CDs, good thing a more acceptable version of piracy was right around the corner.

ETA: Bonus - Got to stand right next to the TV for a minute when you put on Benny Hill for the ole man
Love it. My dad use to let us stay up late for Mission Impossible, beginning of MNF...usually would fall asleep and he'd carry us to bed during a commercial, and the Benny Hill show. I think that was his way of making sure my bro and I didnt turn out "the gay."
I have seen Hank singing the opener of MNF yet. We'd all sing along for most until you realized they had changed some up for that weeks match-up. Ha!

Bet several in here remember when these bad boys came out and replaced Socker Boppers.

I did this all the time. What a memory.

So many good ones in here. A lot of 80s references, but some early 90s adds.
No Fear and Big Johnson shirts
The fear of trying to go to bed after watching Unsolved Mysteries.
Breaking your pencil all the time so you could go use the sharpener that was bolted to the wall in class
Blowing on the Nintendo cartridges to try to get them to work so you could play a video game
