Probably a dryer that runs on gas and there was a leak.

Updated report:
Laundromat owner’s Uncle helps commit insurance fraud by acting like a patron and walking out before explosion and blaming it on a butane lighter with 1oz of butane

So I recently got into the laundromat business and turns out big fires can start all of sudden in them nearly spontaneously. I don't have time to really explain right now but basically if the air flow out of the machine isn't right it can create a ticking time bomb. Somebody opens the door, oxygen rushes in, fire goes boom

So, you're saying the lint build up is like a grain silo?
Is that the theory?

It's sort of like that yea
I'm not gonna claim I fully understand it bc I don't
Small fire starts however it starts, pressure builds, eventually the door can be blown open by pressure then you get oxygen and boom
Everyone keeps saying it's the gas and the gas doesn't hurt the fire but I think it's more a matter of the pressure, lint, and oxygen

Dryer lint can be used as a fire starter. Maybe that was a factor?
