Don't care. Let the little soy children be happy about something.

I never did, outside of
(1) Realizing this solves a symbolic problem instead of actual problems pertaining to why people struggle in life, and maybe you can argue symbolic problems are worth solving if it takes little time and effort
and the inescapable reality
(2) once people realize life still sucks they'll just turn to the next boogeyman and the level of absurdity about what that boogeyman is seems to increase with time
other than that, no; a statue is a statue.

Yeah, that's something you democrats love to do. Taking statues down is just democrats trying to erase their own history.

If it actually solved any problems I'd be all for it, but it is a bandaid "we are doing something!!!" decision.

Welcome to Nola 2017.
Let me tell you, removing the confederate monuments has made a huge difference in everyone's lives. We still have high crime, homelessness and crumbling infrastructure, but everyone has an extra spring in their step knowing that PGT Beauregard isn't sitting in front of City Park anymore.

It looks like is was SO offensive sitting there in that secluded place. Just oozing offense.
Clown arse world.

Just a distraction so the citizens of Richmond won't notice the ineptness of the Mayor and council that have these failures on their watch:
- no downtown baseball stadium
- no new Coliseum (so the counties got together and are building their own)
- calling off RPD and letting the "non-violent, non-destructive" protestors trash downtown last year

Isn't that supposed to be capitalized?
In all seriousness, this is coming from the side that thinks so little of Blacks they don't even think they can get IDs.

It’s definitely time someone learned about the lily white movement. What you talk about is far from a partisan issue.

Statue removal has done wonders to improve things in New Orleans

Sure. There are hardcore authoritarians on the right too. Y'all are exactly like them.

Founding fathers are already in the crosshairs
From a “friend of mine and her husband on FB”
ETA: doesnt look like the image is loading, but it's a comic about the Founding Fathers and they both say F the FFs.

I couldn't give a shite less about the lily white movement. The facts remain that the party of slavery, the Klan and Jim Crow is the democratic party. I also don't care if they remove Lee's statue, not my problem. All you dumb fricks living in the past are the problem.

It's about time... Honestly it's been these statues all along. They took them down in NOLA and now everything is wonderful over here. Obviously this is what it takes to end crime in Virginia. I applaud the measure.

It was a segment of the Republican party that agreed with Democrats on the issue of black Americans 140 years ago.
