DENHAM SPRINGS — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s office found 19-year-old Cody Hodges tricycle that was stolen earlier this week.
Authorities located the tricycle in Tangipahoa Parish, and arrested 31-year old Nathan Gauthreaux. Gauthreaux will be processed into a TPSO facility before being transferred to the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
The Hodges got the original bike back, but the fender is damaged, the basket is missing, and all of the lights are missing.
Here's what a bike thief looks like:
Original story:
quote:
DENHAM SPRINGS — A father is speechless after the response from the community when his son’s tricycle was stolen just days ago. The bicycle was special to his teenage son who loves to ride it all the time and is facing an upcoming heart surgery to repair a valve. Since UWK’s initial report, the father says this matter has been resolved and his son now has a bike, but thanks all the people who reached out offering to donate a bike.
Bryant Hodges said that over the weekend, someone took his son Cody’s three-wheeled bicycle, but didn’t touch his own bicycle, which was right next to his son’s. Fighting through tears, Hodges told UWK that the discovery was difficult for him: “I was pretty mad.”
Cody, 19, enjoys being outside and playing sports, but the bike is one of his favorite things, his father shared. Cody is also the youngest of his siblings. “He means a lot to me; that’s my baby. He means a lot to everybody, everybody who meets him.”
Hodges added that Cody, who has Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), is funny and outgoing.
“He just loves everybody. He loves everybody. He’ll come up there and shake your hand, give you a hug and all that.”

Damn that trike is sick.
Tangi trash is an embarrassment to general white trash.

Unopened cans of what appears to be corn and black eyed peas on the window sill, labels facing the camera, is the icing on the cake in this pic.

Does that dude really think you can steal that trike and ride it around and have nobody recognize it?

Wonder what he plans to make for dinner with those Trappey Beans on window sill?

All he needs is a “no ragrets” tattoo to complete his look

Was the guy parting the bike out one handle grip at a time?

Looking closer, I'm starting to think those are photos from when the kid got the bike. He's 19 now, so it's probably a few years old and he's probably turned some wrenches on it in those years.
