For instance: I routinely go to a certain national discount store where there will be more Indians inside than white folk.
Cedar Park Costco?

Nostro, I'd agree about McKinney 5-10 years ago but it is pretty built out so I'm not surprised cities north of 380 are growing faster.

The HEB at 29 and RR is absolutely amazing.
The Leander HEB is the highest volume HEB in the state, that new one didn't even dent its traffic. The Leander Lowe's is the highest grossing Lowe's in the nation. The CP Costco has the highest % community sign up of any of their stores, and is among their highest volume.
CP is almost built out and landlocked. Leander doesn't have econ dev funds because of that !@$## train, so is limited in how it can grow. Doesn't want to become a pure residential community b/c it will drive tax rates through the roof.

Nope they just build tollways now. We even have tollways inside/over/under existing freeways now.
Nope, the projects my son was helping engineer were widening existing highways and improving traffic flow. He never worked on a tollway.
With the growth down there expanding capacity is desperately needed.

Tax rates are already through the roof.
I know someone in Williamson county who is paying $1600 a month in property taxes. The house isn’t even 800k.

More Melissa these days. They can’t build schools fast enough.

Fort Worth to Decatur is pretty much gobbled up, too. We moved to Wichita Falls in 1990 and all Decatur had were service stations and a McDonald's, maybe a DQ and Braums. Would not wish to live in the newer additions as access to 287 looks to be quite the adventure

I hate that the state is growing this fast. The country roads ain’t what they used to be. The Hill Country has lost much of its charm.

There are still lots of Hill Country towns with the charm. Burnet County is growing, but not at the same clip, and still feels like a lot of small town communities. Splitting my time between Marble Falls and Weatherford, I'd take Burnet County over Parker County any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Haines City?

There is no Haines. Lazy author. It is Haines city. People from Denham Springs say, "I'm from Denham", but people from HC would never leave off the City part. But,they still say poke County.

A lot of Indians moving to Collin county. They go to Irving and Richardson first for the high paying tech jobs, then marry and have kids in an exurb 4/3/2, 3,500 sq. ft. with good schools.
The American dream.

Can’t argue that to a point, but txdots budget is largely non-tolled facilities.
DFW is bananas however.
But, there is something to be said for a populous willing to pay daily for mobility and quality of life vs one that wallows in squaller. Mindset.

I had to look it up. Haines City with 44% population increase since 2020 census. Had no idea people were moving there but I guess it’s proximity to Orlando makes it popular.

I can confirm Forney, Tx as I’ve moved 2 miles in the last 20 minutes.
