One suspected survivor of the possible New England serial killer was a big and tough dude. The guy walked up behind him on a trail. He thankfully noticed the guy sneaking up on him and quickly took a side trail and the guy followed him. Retreating guy picked up a rock to bash his head but suspected serial killer drew a knife and there was a standoff at about 5 feet.

I’ll try and find the video.

Due to a lack of forensics linking the victims, investigators believe this isn't the work of just one perpetrator.

Or if I crossed paths with one.

I think I did. And I think I’ve told this story on here before.

Lived in a house with 2 other girls off of Claycut and Acadian in early 2000s. I was outside alone sweeping the front porch and I look up and there’s a guy standing about 15 feet away from me looking at me with his hands on his hips. He tells me he’s with the water company and he’s checking our meter. He asks if there’s an old lady who lives at our house and I say no. He says something like “oh, I guess she moved” and walks away. I see him a few minutes later in this old red car driving away with the window down smoking a cig. (We lived in sort of a cul de sac.)

I call the water company and they told me no one should have been out at our house that day. Much less in a red car with no uniform on.

So I call the serial killer tip line and leave a message. They call me back and I give a description of the guy, white, brownish hair, mustache, glasses. They eventually arrest DTL, so obviously it wasn’t him.

Some time later, I see a picture on the news of Sean Vincent Gillis and I freak out and tell my roommates, “that’s him! that’s the guy who said he was with the water company!” Not that it mattered at that point, but I did call the police and tell them the story again.

I remember what he looked like so well because he reminded me of a guy who was on an episode of Designing Women, he played Julia and Suzanne’s comedian brother, Clayton. I didn’t know his name then, but IMDb tells me it’s Lewis Grizzard. So his appearance was stuck in my brain. I loved Designing Women and would watch reruns over and over.

Lewis Grizzard:

Walking to a 24/7 convenience store with 2 friends when we were about 18-19 one night, we were walking past a wooded area. A guy on a bicycle approached from behind and slowed. He said “do you know theres a guy behind you with a big knife?”

Sure enough, there was a guy with a big Rambo style knife maybe 50’ behind us. He had to have stepped out from the woods.

Gives me the creeps thinking about it.

earned in a class once many people have been noticed by a serial killer but left alone bc that person didn’t fit their target. Kinda of unnerving.

It’s actually even crazier than that.

If you are one they may have been watching you may have fit his profile to a T but in order to be successful at killing you have to be random in your selections and it has to be low risk.

Crimes of opportunity are how these guys escape for so long. That and they have no ties to victims obviously.

There has to be many truck drivers that are also serial killers. It’s the perfect job for it.

There are serial killers present in every large liberal city in America. Hundreds of unsolved ghetto killings every month. These killers will kill again soon.

Yes, you said it much better, thank you. Makes it even more unnerving. Always be mindful and aware. Teach your kids.

Yeah I don’t believe that stat anymore unless they have changed the definition of what constitutes a serial killer. Technology is just too widespread and effective to hunt people of a certain type and kill them repeatedly. It wasn’t in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s when most of the infamous ones operated

Serial Killer is defined as someone who has killed 2 or more people in separate locations, what I am saying is... That includes people in hoods all around the country who has shot more than one person in different locations.

There’s approx 347 million people in the US; there’s prob far more than approximated.

Hell, Baton Rouge had 3(at least active in early 2000s). Zodiac, BTK, sniper DC, Israel Keyes etc and that’s 6-7 right there off top of head.

Have we had a known OT killer? Cause honestly, wouldn't shock me.
