I don't know why anyone goes into the field. Doctors only see them as a free meal or a nice pair of tits even though they're nice to their face. Who wants a job trying to educate someone that knows more than you about your own product and doesn't take you seriously?

I also take offense as a decent human being

Considering I was in surgery and walking the doctors through the process I can assure everyone you don't know what the frick you are talking about.
I made a shite ton of money the few years I was in the business and yes, I was required to wear scrubs.

my cousin's husband is a medical equipment salesman and he makes $$$. He didn't get into the med school so he went that route and lives a badass lifestyle. It doesn't hurt that his wife is a pt and make 6 figues also.

Huge difference between equipment reps and drug reps.

This. If it's a new system or the doc hasn't done a ton the rep is there to talk them through the process. They're very knowledgeable on their product.

People really need to learn how to reply to the right person
You're fricking it up when I look at my replies (awesome new feature, chicken)

Agree.
By the way, I never wore scrubs outside of surgery and definitely never wore scrubs casually.

Real Salesmen wear suits. They don't dress like their clients.

Speciality pharma makes serious coin.
Stock options can be pretty lucrative, as well.
