There needs to be a pill to get drunk

Alcohol has too many calories and sometimes I get full before I get drunk.
Why can't we make a pill that mimics the effects of alcohol?
Amd I'm not talking about stuff like Xanax. That feels different than being drunk.

The couple of times I tried GHB.... basically, that's how I felt, really drunk.
That was only a 20 oz coke cap full.
Never tried again, rather drink beer and shots of Gentlemen Jack.
