I mean where were you? Where I live there is a Ruth’s Chris and Flemings and everything looks as nice as any other decent suburban area.
That said the crime is occurring here and it is a shithole. An attempted kidnapping at a super upscale Germantown strip mall yesterday.
My mom keeps making excuses “Oh I’m sure the kidnapping attempt was someone they knew.” It certainly wasn’t.
I’m about ready to leave. The hood rat animals have destroyed this place.

The original Gus’s fried chicken is there by the river. It’s the best chicken ever and you can get a 16 ounce draft beer with it. The bass pro is cool. The pink palace museum is interesting. I enjoyed our visit there and will go back. But it had some rough sections.

Not even close. Suburbs like Mountain Brook and Vestavia Hills blow both away and they are like 5-10 minutes from downtown unlike the Northshore which is 30 miles.
