Just went to Memphis and Jesus NOLA doesn’t hold a candle to it. Looks like a wasteland the whole place is run down and hood as shite.
Is there anyone with money that lives in here?

I usually go to Memphis about once a year. There’s a gargantuan hobby store with really great prices on model kits that I go to. While there we usually take on some of thf sights and get some good food. There is, of course, some nice parts of Memphis. But overall, most of it is as bad as anything you’ll find in New Orleans.

Beale St is way cleaner, and way more cops per Capita than bourbon.

Yeah, but Haiti and Somalia shouldn’t count.

The same problems present in NO and Memphis are present in B’ham. The only difference is there are actual tourist draws to NO and Memphis. Other than a conference or some sort of concert or sporting event, I cannot fathom why anyone would travel to B’ham. And I say that as someone who’s spent the vast majority of my life living not far from B’ham. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of cool things in B’ham. But not enough to be what I’d consider destination worthy.

Birmingham is better than Nola, particularly if you include the southern suburbs which are extremely close to the city.

You are wrong about B’ham. Yes, there are some absolutely awful areas in the city proper. But there is a pretty clear demarcation between the good and bad areas. Hell, even downtown isn’t bad at all. And the suburbs are light years better than anything in Memphis or NO.

I know people from Birmingham that act like it’s Atlantis.

Make fun of anyone in TX and LA on how nice it is and clean and safe

Los Angelas says hold my beer. To be fair, certain neighborhoods are actually nice in LA but a lot of it looks post-apocalyptic.
