Memphis has two separate parts of town that are absolutely terrible and responsible for the vast majority of violent crime. It's inexcusable, but it is what it is, and the good part is that these two areas of town are not essential to travel to or through.

NEWSFLASH: Most cities in the US have the same issues. Its mostly lower class and upper class people. The lower class have a bigger population than the upper class. Where there is poverty there is a lot of crime.
There are some areas that are not as bad as others.

Went to Graceland 20 years ago. To think that was where someone mega rich lived in the 50’s/60’s. That wouldn’t be a pool house to celebrities these days.
