People say they just can’t lose weight then have gastric bypass surgery and lose weight. They talk about it like it is a miracle. When in reality if they would have just eaten the same diet before the surgery that they are forced to after the surgery they would lose the exact same weight.

Yeah, people have special mattresses for being fat, they want airline seats to be bigger, they want special clothing stores and any number of accommodations. They want everyone to change their approach to cater to their morbidity instead of losing weight.

Meanwhile, you have the media screaming bloody murder anytime someone suggests that people should stop eating in excess. They're called insensitive fat shaming assholes. Yet, if you smoke a cigarette, you're a piece of shite social pariah.

(Not that I advocate smoking or being obese, it's just interesting how we shame one behavior but not the other.)
