Helium walks into a bar.

Bartender says, "We don't serve noble gases here."

Helium doesn't react.

Not that easy. As an inert gas it can be made so unless a new stock is discovered we are screwed on HE. I read about this several years ago.

how about we ban space flights as well?

Do research man, we need space travel for more He

We can’t build more. That’s where it’s found. There isn’t really a way to make more.

Wrong. The trace amount in our atmosphere is lost to space. What we use is mined from gas deposits in the ground.

Fun fact. Helium was discovered on the sun before it was discovered on Earth. Hence the name.

Or you could just admit you didn't know where it came from instead of trying to be right via technicality? We can't strip it from the the atmosphere and we can't make more. The only way to get it is to find it in gas deposits.

Party City is closing 45 stores and specifically cited the rise in helium costs due to the shortage as the main reason.

Why not? I know it is currently mined from the ground. I’m asking why it isn’t possible to strip it from the atmosphere if these sources are depleted

Disney will also be affected by this. You know how many balloons are being blown up daily to sell to those kids?
