Politicians aren't really known for their common sense.

The reasons you laid out are exactly why I wasn't very excited when rumblings of reopening were going around. I was pretty sure we would get some nonsense like this.

All you’re doing is confirming what I already know. I’m sorry you’re so petty and bitter that other people’s success in life bothers you.

Mine sent an email this morning. They're not allowing anyone in the waiting room. They make you wait in the car and they text you when it's time to come up, and they tell you to wash your hands in the bathroom right outside their office. They are also asking everyone to wear a mask until they get to the exam room chair.
The entire process is as contactless as possible.

There was a hair stylist from Georgia on the radio yesterday and they are operating under the exact same practices.

The fact some here think you’ve got to be a medical professional to wash your freaking hands or clean your Equipmemt shows how stupid a lot of people are now.

The retail example is fair, but I don't think many people are going to be shopping anyway for a while.

None of it makes any fricking sense, except shutting down schools and large events.

I don't think anyone here has made this argument. What they're saying is there is a higher level of cleaning and sanitation in a dentist's office compared to a barber shop, and that level of cleanliness was a standard BEFORE this pandemic. So it's easier to allow them to open when they already have that high standard of cleaning and sanitizing. You're incredibly naive if you don't believe that.

Ok, but dentists have spent their career using PPE correctly over face and hands. It's not like they're sticking bare hands in peoples mouth...well you did mention it was Alabama...so you may have a point

So you’re saying a barber or hair stylist is incapable of washing their hands and changing a pair of gloves?
Not at all, he was saying that dentists practice better hygiene than most hair places. They're still a doctors office.

Restaurant kitchens get cleaned and disinfected daily. Maybe in your shitty part of the world they do a half as job.

But when was the last time you saw someone disinfecting store Shelves, racks, or merchandise?

Bottom line is a a surface or item infected with COVID-19 has a better chance of being disinfected if it’s in a restaurant kitchen than the clearance rack at JC Penny.

You can get cleanings in Louisiana. It started on Monday.

Also our waiting room is closed. Call us when you get here and we’ll call you when we are ready. Def leads to less patients in a day but it’s what we have to do
