Some school districts here, such as Jackson, have their own police forces. Major bone of contention with law enforcement because when real crime happens, they are either ate the f up or won't call in the real cops.

The problem you run into once a mental health screening is law is that the parameters change over time with the screening. With democrats in charge they could very easily say for instance if you were at the Jan 6 rally you are unstable and shouldn’t own a gun. Slippery slope in my opinion.

This is EXACTLY what would happen. Pretty much anyone who has a voter ID with "Republican" on it would be deemed a threat.
Same thing if the left got their way and they could confiscate firearms. They won't go to the ghetto where the vast majority of murders take place. Nope. Those are their voters and foot soldiers. They would hit suburbs in red states first.

I was also a SRO for almost a decade. It was very frustrating times trying to get teachers to take safety protocols seriously. This shooting is a perfect example of that.

No but they can have 10-12 shells with 10-15 pellets bigger than a .556 round and can be reloaded if trained quicker than ar. Anymore questions that you think sound smart but only make you look dumb????
